Welcoming more than 30 000 visitors each year

Kyiv Art Week is a festival that establishes connections and forges relationships between culture actors from Ukraine and all around the world. This is a forum where artists, gallerists and curators are building connections with collectors, art patrons, philanthropists, businesses and governmental initiatives with our support. Also Kyiv Art Week backs up presentations of non-profit international projects and annually presents an educational program for a wide audience, where the listeners get acquainted with acute trends of contemporary art and art theory, simply and clearly exposed. Kyiv Art Week serves to make Ukraine a popular destination for cultural tourism as well as to popularize contemporary art for the non-professional wide audience. Kyiv Ar Fair is an instrument for sustaining and regulating financial and market relations between galleries, artist-run spaces, collectors, museums and other institutions, making the transactions and negotiations clear, visible and discussed.

The core event of Kyiv Art Week is a curated art fair that unites 35 to 40 galleries from Ukraine, France, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Brazil, USA, Georgia, Lithuania, Austria, Italy.KAW initiated and supported series of prolific collaborations between experimental, academic and underground institutions, many of which  hosted curated special projects, organized by KAW. We worked in a constant partnership with the National Museum “Kyiv Picture Gallery”, Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum, Izolyatsia, Museum of Kyiv History, National Taras Shevchenko Museum, Closer art center and many others. In 2020, the festival was relocated online, focusing on educational and talks programmes, accompanied by a digital exhibition.
